David's research interests include:
- Ultra low power and low voltage RF and analogue circuits and systems
- RF circuit/antenna co-design to minimise power of size-constrained on-body wireless sensors
- Low power analogue signal processing techniques for biomedical applications
- Development of novel architectures and circuits for miniaturized energy harvesting wireless sensor nodes
- Wireless power transfer (inductive charging)
- Reconfigurable RF architectures for digital array processing employing hardware/software co-design for minimal size, weight and power and high reconfigurability
- Software Defined Radio testbed development
