Summary
Dragos Gruia is a PhD candidate in the Clinical Neurology Division. Prior to starting his studentship, Dragos obtained his MSc in Translational Neuroscience from Imperial College London and worked as a Research Technician for the UK Dementia Research Institute.
His current research focuses on using AI to improve care in stroke patients. To achieve that, he is developing an automated, remote cognitive assessment tool that is specifically designed for patients with stroke and that allows longitudinal monitoring of cognitive recovery in the home setting. The data obtained from this assessment will then be combined with brain imaging measures and blood biomarkers to obtain an integrative multimodal approach to mapping a patient’s cognitive trajectory over time.
