Summary

I’m an engagement practitioner and educator passionate about making science, history, and culture accessible and engaging for non-academic audiences. As part of the central Societal Engagement Team I lead training, manage our networks and provide advice to support Imperial staff and students to do more and better public engagement.

We offer specialised training for staff and students to hone your public engagement skills, develop your activity ideas and evaluate the impact of your activities, including:

  • Public Engagement: Connecting audiences and research I-Explore module supporting second year undergraduates to develop and deliver their own engagement activities.
  • Research Impact termly workshops and retreats for doctoral students with the Graduate School.
  • Engagement Masterclasses suite of termly workshops building a range of public engagement skills for staff and doctoral students.
  • Engagement Academy annual training programme for staff to develop their engagement practice.
  • Engagement Day annual opportunity for staff to share their engagement knowledge and experience.
  • Get in touch for bespoke talks, workshops and study days for your team, centre or network.

Before joining Imperial in 2019, I led sector training and schools outreach at Understanding Animal Research, supported youth programmes and STEM Ambassadors at Centre of the Cell in Queen Mary University of London and delivered education programmes across Oxford University’s Gardens, Libraries and Museums as a Heritage Lottery Fund Skills for the Future trainee. I graduated with honours in Anthropology from Bryn Mawr College and gained my MSc with merit in Forensic Anthropology at the University of Central Lancashire.
