Educational Development

My research interests include:

  • authenticity in learning, teaching and evaluation
  • inclusive learning and teaching design
  • participatory learning and teaching design
  • independent thinking and learning
  • critical thinking, reading and writing for STEM students
  • transferable skills
  • skill-, process- and praxis-based curricula
  • sustainable human development

I specialise in practitioner-research, using highly embedded participant ethnography alongside autoethnographic observation. My latest work has involved long form evocative auto- and other-ethnography, using creative analytic processes to include drawings and found poetry within the narrative.
