Dr. Boem has collaborations with top-level international research institutions: EPFL (Switzerland), KTH (Stocholm, Sweden), University of Cyprus (Cyprus), Politecnico of Milano (Italy), University of Padua (Italy), University of Pavia (Italy), University of Modena and Reggio-Emilia (Italy), United Technologies Research Center Ireland UTRC-I, Cork (Republic of Ireland).
She cooperated with the R&D department of Danieli Automation SpA, Italy from 2009 to 2015 for the design of a fault diagnosis architecture for a real industrial system.
She visited the Institute for Human-Machine Communication at TUM, Germany, in 2010; the ACCESS Linnaeus Center, KTH, Sweden, in 2013; the Center for Intelligent and Networked Systems at Tsinghua University, China in 2015; the Lehrstuhl für Automatisierungstechnik und Prozessinformatik, Ruhr-Universität Bochum, Germany in 2015; the Dept. of Ingegneria Industriale e dell'Informazione, University of Pavia, Italy in 2016; KIOS Research Center for Intelligent Systems and Networks, University of Cyprus, Cyprus in 2016, 2017 and 2018; the Laboratoire d`Automatique, EPFL, Switzerland in May 2017; the Department of Information Engineering, University of Padova, Italy in June 2017.
Dr. Boem has been invited to give the pre-workshop tutorial “Plug-and-play control and monitoring of large-scale systems”, with Prof. G. Ferrari-Trecate, EPFL, at the 9th IFAC Symposium on Fault Detection, Supervision and Safety for Technical Processes, Paris, France in September 2015.
She has been invited to give seminars in research groups of international relevance: at the University of Cambridge (UK) in June 2018; University of Padua (Italy) in 2017, by Prof. Cenedese, Tsinghua University (China) in 2015, by prof. Qing-Shan Jia, and Ruhr-Bochum University (Germany) in 2015, by Prof. Lunze.
Since 2017 Dr. Boem is Member of IFAC Technical Committee 6.4 on Fault Detection, Supervision and Safety of Technical Processes (SAFEPROCESS).
