Vision and ambition:
To lead worldwide the research area of sustainable process systems engineering by:
(i) developing advanced tools based on mathematical programming techniques underpinned by life cycle thinking for the assessment and optimisation of more sustainable processes;
(ii) promoting the widespread use of these methods in a wide variety of applications, ultimately leading to significant improvements in the transition towards a more sustainable economy.
