I support three academic departments within the Faculty of Medicine (Brain Sciences, Infectious Disease and Immunology & Inflammation) in delivering their key strategic aims through engaging and accessible communications.

For staff and students in these areas, I'm the first point of contact for queries relating to:

  • News and events
  • Websites, blogs and Professional Web Pages (PWPs)
  • Social media
  • Internal communications and newsletters
  • Photography and filming

In 2021, my colleagues in the Faculty of Medicine and Press Office and I were awarded the President's Award for Excellence in Societal Engagement.

I am a committee member for the College's Communications Network, which organises monthly talks for anyone working in a comms-related role within Imperial College. Please feel free to get in touch if you are interested in joining or finding out more.

I am also currently studying for a CIPR Specialist Diploma in Digital Communications.

Career history

I joined Imperial in October 2014 after graduating with a first-class honours degree (BA English) from the University of Exeter. I have worked as a Section Manager for the Divisions of Brain Science and Experimental Medicine in the former Department of Medicine, and as Communications Officer for the Department of Chemical Engineering. You can see my full career history on my LinkedIn profile.
