Guoxing is a visiting Professor in the Environmental Research Group. He completed his BSc in Stomatology, MSc in toxicology at Shanxi Medical University, and received his Ph.D. from Peking University in 2011. He is an associate professor in the Department of Occupational and Environmental Health Science, School of Public Health at Peking University. He has more than 10 years’ experience in environmental health. His current research interests focus on the risk evaluation of environmental index using large scale dataset; the usage of econometric method in environmental health.
His main research topic are as follows:
- Exploring the quantitative association between air pollution and cause-specific mortalities: using time series method to analyze the short-term effects; the combination impacts of multiple air pollutants; the impacts of sustained high air pollutants days.
- Projecting the health impacts of temperature under climate change scenario; estimating the quantitative association of long-term effects of temperature on mental health.
- Health co-benefit evaluation of policy. Such as ’Air Ten’ policy. The co-benefits of air pollution control and decarbonization policy on public health.
