Summary

Summary

I have been employed by Imperial College since 2008 and am a Senior Clinical Teaching Fellow in my Undergrad role and also run the Postgraduate Paediatrics MSc courses.

I am a dually qualified Paediatric and Adult nurse (RGN/RSCN) having trained at Great Ormond Street Hospital and several Dorset hospitals in the UK. I am also  qualified as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Washington State, USA and I have worked at Children's Hospital in Seattle. I have a further qualification in Neonatal Intensive Care and spent half of my working life in Special and Intensive Care Baby Units as a Staff Nurse.

I went on to hold Research Nurse Posts in America and the UK and as much of my latter research was in Paediatric Allergy, I completed an MSc in Allergy at Imperial College, London.

I moved into teaching in 2015 and teach both Postgraduates (on the Paediatrics and Child Health PG Cert/Dip/MSc - now evolved into the Applied Paediatrics PG Cert/Dip/MSc Course) and Undergraduates, working on the Medical Ethics and Law Team, all at Imperial College, London.

I completed my MEd in University Lecturing and Teaching in 2021 and am a Fellow of the Health Education Academy (FHEA).

I plan to continue my research into Health Education topics and I enjoy being a personal tutor to my students.
