Summary
I started my academic journey as a young physicist at the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur in India. The field of statistical mechanics and its application to real-world problems soon caught my interest. I spent my summers working on various projects in complex systems. This quest guided me to pursue a PhD here at the Center for Complexity Science at Imperial College London.
My work has been focused on modelling and analysis of social, ecological and brain complexity. Throughout my PhD, I have been exploring emergent phenomenon through tools from statistical analysis, experimental control and mathematical modelling.
My recent work has been focused on using information-theoretic tools to study information processing in the brain to understand disorders and altered states of consciousness.
