Summary
Dr Hui Luo is a Research Associate at the Department of Chemical Engineering since October 2019, and a member of the Royal Society of Chemistry. She currently works on the project of hydrogen and value-added chemical production via biomass electrolysis, which investigates the possibility to transform abundant biomass platform molecules into H2 and high-value bio-based compounds with low energy consumption and carbon footprints.
Hui completed her PhD at Queen Mary University of London (2015-2019) under the supervision of Prof. Magda Titirici. Her PhD project focuses on understanding the optical properties of fluorescent carbon dots and the application in photo(electro)catalysis.
