I am a postdoctoral researcher working at the Centre for Cold Matter - part of the Quantum Optics and Laser Science group at the physics department.

I am working on an experiment to laser cool YbF molecules.  The purpose of this experiment is to produce an intense molecular beam for use in an experiment which will measure the electron's electric dipole moment (EDM).  This will improve the precision of the current electron EDM experiment at the Centre for Cold Matter.
