Summary

The Partnership for Child Development (PCD) focuses on strengthening the evidence base on effective implementation of School Health and Nutrition (SHN) programmes in support of governments in low and middle income countries. Working in partnership with governments and global partners, PCD provides the needed technical assistance to enable the scale up of nationally owned SHN programmes, ensuring sustainable health interventions are delivered to millions of children around the world.

Jane has been involved in PCD’s work since its inception over 20 years ago, and today she sits as PCD’s Managing Director. Prior to joining PCD, Jane served as the Coordinating Officer for the Rector of Imperial College with special responsibility for International Projects. With a background in parasitology and immunology, Jane started her career at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine developing serodiagnostic tests for parasitic infections. In 1987, she joined Imperial College to work on the immuno-epidemiology of soil transmitted helminths project under the direction of Professor Donald Bundy.
