Summary

Summary

I am an epidemiologist focused on Infection Prevention and Control at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust in London, and an Honorary Senior Lecturer in the National Institute for Health Research Health Protection Research Unit (NIHR HPRU) in Healthcare Associated Infections and Antimicrobial Resistance at Imperial College London. I have a first class honors degree in Microbiology from the University of Nottingham (2001) and a PhD in epidemiology (of MRSA) from King’s College London (2011). (Just to clarify, it didn’t take me 10 years to do my PhD!). I am a Fellow of the Royal College of Pathologists (FRCPath), previously an Assistant Editor at the Journal of Hospital Infection, and an alumnus of the Royal Commission for the Exhibition of 1851. You can find me on Linkedin.

I run a blog on healthcare epidemiology and microbiology with Martin Kiernan, Andreas Voss, and Marc Bonten called ‘Reflections on Infection Prevention and Control’. Check it out!

I also have a personal website where you can download my slides and conference posters (and even my PhD thesis if you are an insomniac).
