Jing joined Imperial in October 2018, has experience in technology start-ups and R&D in OLED industry. He also helped the establishment and growth of Imperial College Advanced Hackspace and taught technology courses for undergraduates and postgraduates, including software and technology for design engineering and product development. He holds a PhD in Materials on nanotechnology from Imperial College London and MPhys (Hons) from the University of Durham.  

He is managing the IP and relationships with key strategic industry partners, including high-growth start-ups, deep-tech SMEs, and large enterprises in various advanced technology sectors, from aerospace to energy, from core AI to applied deep tech, software, and robotics. He is also leading in the development of an industry partnership strategy for the newly established I-X initiatives in Imperial for AI, ML, and Data Science.
