Summary
I am a Mathematics PhD, based in the department and part of Grantham Institute's 'Sciences and Solutions for a Changing Planet' DTP funded by NERC. My research is on integrating optimal transport and forecast verification methods to form a novel flow map metric to improve verification of models. I am supervised my Professor Colin Cotter of Imperial College London and Dr Marion Mittermaier of the MET Office UK.
I completed my Mathematics MSci here at Imperial. My masters thesis looked at developing a novel tool to solve the shallow-water semi-geostrophic equations via optimal transport, under the supervision on Colin Cotter.
