Summary

Dr Jeff Green is a Rolls-Royce Engineering Associate Fellow with expertise in vibration and aeroelasticity. He is also Visiting Professor at Imperial College London and Deputy Director of the Rolls-Royce funded Vibration UTC within the Department of Mechanical Engineering.

Dr Green graduated from Nottingham University in 1989 with a Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering. Since then he has been a full time employee of Rolls-Royce and has over 25 years industrial experience of a wide range of vibration related issues, covering design & analysis, experimental & analytical, research & engine project aspects of turbomachinery and gas turbine engine structures. He received his PhD in 2006 from the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) in Stockholm, Sweden

Dr Green's main research interests are aero-mechanical behaviour of turbomachinery and engine structures, non-linear mechanics and damping. Recently he has been focusing on the sources of fan vibration in Rolls-Royce Trent engines and stability of labyrinth seals
