Summary

I am the Education Manager in the Department's Education Office.  The Education Office team looks after undergraduate, master's, PhD, and exchange students from recruitment and admissions to alumni relations after graduation.  I work closely with Lina Brazinskaite (Postgraduate Manager),  Emma Rainbow, Kate Farrar (Education Office Administrators), Hashi Chowdhury (Teaching Administrators), Spencer Cockerill (Project and Administrative Assistant (DUGS and DOM)), and Richard Stephenson, Harmony Wong and Saritha Udayan (IT Support).

My role covers all elements of the UG student lifecycle from recruitment to graduation; with a focus on strategy.  My  main areas of focus are quality assurance, outreach and undergraduate admissions,. The UG Admissions Tutor and I work closely together on reviewing applications and making offers.  I oversee the Department's contribution to Year 12 summer schools.  My quality assurance work involves handling the module modification process within the Department, and overseeing our accreditation with the IET.

I started my working life at the British Museum, and joined Imperial College in 1988 as secretary to the Machines group. For some years I had a dual role as administrator for what is now the Control and Power group, and undergraduate admissions.  In the late 1990s, I left the research group to work in undergraduate teaching administration.  From 2007-2018 my work was been focussed on recruitment of undergraduate, master's and PhD students.  From 2018 I have had responsibility for overall management of the Education Office.
