Kenji is a member of the Critical Care Research group at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, and received PhD from Imperial College in 2012. In his PhD project, he pursued the pathophysiology and basic mechanisms of acute lung injury (ALI). As a postdoctoral research fellow, he expanded his perspective to the therapeutic aspects, and paricularly interested in the novel therapeutic approach for acid aspiration induced lung injury, which is a major issue in the ICU setting.
Kenji is currently working at Tokyo Medical and Dental University in Japan as an assistant professor at the Office for Global Education and Career Development.
