Summary
My research focuses on the development and manufacturing of novel polymeric materials with a focus on tailoring the interface between two (or more) phases to bridge the gap between chemistry, materials science and engineering, with particular emphasis on:
(i) Cellulose and nanocellulose engineering
(ii) Design and fabrication of renewable polymer composites and cellulose nanocomposites
(iii) Surface and interface engineering to improve performance of high performance polymer (nano)composites
(iv) Life-cycle assessment of composite materials
(v) Particle-stabilised emulsions and foams
(vi) Novel manufacturing techniques for polymer foams
(vii) Reuse, recycle and up-cycle waste materials
