Summary

I use mathematical modelling and statistics to answer practical questions about vaccine impacts, infectious disease transmission, and outbreak response to help improve public health in resource-limited settings. I have worked on a variety of vaccine-preventable infectious diseases, primarily bacterial meningitis and polio.

I am currently working on the epidemiology of vaccine-derived polioviruses as a research associate in the Vaccine Epidemiology Research Group with Dr. Isobel Blake and Dr. Nick Grassly.

Listen to my colleague Dr. Sam Okiror and myself talking about how population immunity to polio has changed since 2016 and how to better respond to vaccine-derived polio outbreaks in Africa. Link here
