My research interests are in the broad area of dynamics and control of nonlinear systems. My work in this context usually involves mathematical modelling as well as the development of advanced computational and experimental techniques. Over the last ten years, I have looked at a wide range of mechanical applications, including aircraft and spacecraft structures, rotating machines and aero-elastic systems. More recently, I have started to investigate the dynamics of biological systems (mammalian stem cells and neurons).
