My current research interests are driven by my curiosity to discover: what will product development look like in the future? This involves exploring a range of different topics to better understand the relationship between design and engineering disciplines, as well as how design practice will be shaped by the demands of sustainability, emerging technologies, changing cultures and shifting societies – and how design will help to shape these factors in turn.
To investigate this my current portfolio of research includes the following projects:
- Designing Ubiquitous Sustainability into Product Design Processes
- Ubiquitous Computing Enabled Design Models and Scenarios
- User Engagement for Future Redistributed Manufacturing Models
- The Integrated Design of Products and Production Systems
