I am an infectious disease modeller with a background in mathematics and statistics. I use Bayesian methods to study the transmission of bacterial pathogens, including Group A Streptococcus and the causative agents of gonorrhoea and bubonic plague. In particular, I am interested in the spread and control of antimicrobial resistance, as well as broader questions around the natural history, evolution and transmission dynamics of pathogenic bacteria.
