Summary

Summary

I am a Clinical Project Manager in Digital Health with the Connected Care Hub established by Professor Nicholas Peters at the National Heart and Lung Institute and a Research Fellow funded by Imperial Health Charity and HEE/ICA NIHR Pre-doctoral Clinical Academic Fellowship (PCAF). I am also a Florence Nightingale Foundation Scholar building research collaborations with clinicians, research nurses and midwives in the UK, USA and Uganda.

I completed both an MSc in Epidemiology and a Professional Diploma in Tropical Nursing at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine where I continue to teach on the PDTN.

I am interested in developing our understanding of the relationship between socioeconomic deprivation, the environment and their impact on maternal cardiovascular health and identifying ways to mitigate this impact.

With Dr Fréderic B. Piel and Professor Phillip Bennett, I investigated seasonal risk factors for preterm birth are affected by COVID-19 lockdowns and subsequently impact rates of premature birth in the UK and worldwide. I am continuing this work during the PCAF with Professors Paul Aylin and Phillip Bennett, with a focus on utilising digital health to improve maternal health outcomes.
