Matheus L C Menezes

Matheus Menezes is a PhD candidate in Marketing, with a focus on consumer behaviour and behavioural science as whole, at Imperial College Business School in London, United Kingdom since September 2017. 

He holds a BSc in Economics with Econometrics from the University of Kent, UK and an MSc in Economics with a focus on microeconomics from the Barcelona Graduate School of Economics, Spain, (2015).

As an undergraduate Matheus published his first academic work in the Journal Economic Letters, Cheating to win: Dishonesty and the intensity of competition 2013In this work he investigates the relationship between varying levels of competition and dishonest behaviour of individuals. This work won Matheus "Best Dissertation Award" at the University fo Kent for Economics in 2013. 

His research at Imperial Business School focuses on consumers’ judgment and decision-making. More specifically, he is interested in understanding how online tools and technology alter the way consumers make decisions online and the role of biases and heuristics in the consumer decision making process. His PhD is supervised by Dr. Rajesh Bhargave at Imperial College Business School.
