Summary

Professor Morris Sloman FREng, FIEEE, FBCS, FIET was inf the Department of Computing from Februay 1976 to June 2021.   His administrative roles included Deputy Head of Department and College Consul. He was awarded an Imperial College Medal in May 2018 for services to the College. 

Professor Sloman is a member of the  International Advisory Council for INESC-Lisboa. He was Deputy Chair of the UK  Research Excellece Framework (REF) Computer Science and Informatics sub-panel, 2014.

His research interests include autonomic management of pervasive and distributed systems, adaptive security management, privacy and security for pervasive systems.  He is a member of the editorial board of the Journal of Network and Systems Management and IEEE Transactions on Network and Services Management.
