Summary

I'm working on making ultra-cold molecules for a precision test of fundamental Physics under the supervision of Mike Tarbutt and Ben Sauer.

At the Centre for Cold Matter, we have an experiment which measures the electron's electric dipole moment (EDM), which can be thought of as the electron's "roundness". This experiment is a search for new physics and has already placed constraints on theories attempting to extend the Standard Model of particle physics. 

I'm working on the next generation of the EDM experiment, which will be based on a slow, laser-cooled beam of YbF molecules.
