Ms. Maria Woringer is working as an Engagement Officer at the Dept of Surgery & Cancer. She is responsible for managing the Treadmill and JointPro projects. These projects aim to assess patients’ gait and self reported outcome measures before and after joint replacement surgery. Ms Woringer is responsible for recruiting patients into the studies, managing, analysing and interpreting data and seeking out new business partnerships.
Over the past 6 years, Ms. Woringer worked as a Research Assistant and Project Manager at the Dept. of Primary Care & Public Health. She drafted funding proposals, managed grant budgets, oversaw research activities, liaised with the funders, analysed large datasets presented research at international conferences and contributed to the writing of scientific paper and reports.
Ms. Maria Woringer is a self-funded PhD student examining the impact of preventive programmes on risk awareness and self-management of cardiovascular disease (CVD).
