Summary
Background
I received my BSc degree in 2000 in Mechanical Engineering from Amirkabir University of Technology supervised by late Prof. HR Daghyani. Between 2000 and 2004, I worked as a Research Engineer at IKCO where I was involved in research and development work on a number of projects for automotive industry. I returned to academia in 2004 and joined the School of Engineering and Design, Brunel University to do my MPhil in Medical Engineering, supervised by Prof. W Balachandran and Dr P Slijepcevic. I did my PhD in Medical Physics in the School of Medicine, Swansea University, supervised by Prof. H Griffiths and Dr PD Ledger. After completing my PhD in 2010, I joined National Heart and Lung Institute, Imperial College London, as a Research Associate where I currently work with Prof. Darrel Francis.
