- Metocean, Offshore and Coastal Engineering
- Fully nonlinear wave-wave, wave-structure and wave-vessel interactions
- Limiting wave and crest heights in shallow water
- Infragravity waves interacting with coastal structures and vessels
- Extreme and freak/rogue/abnormal waves
- Analysis of field measurements of raw wave data
- Wave and crest height probability distributions
- Side-by-side and tandem offloading between vessels
- Time-frequency analysis techniques (Wavelet & Hilbert-Huang Transforms) applied to the wave spectrum
- Boundary Element Modelling
- Rapidly varying wind loading of floating vessels
