Summary

Kelly Seo (also known as Mikyung Kelly Seo), PhD, is a health economist at Imperial College London for the NIHR London In Vitro Diagnostics Co-operative. She is an experienced health economist, having worked for international organizations (International Labor Organization (ILO, Geneva) and the International Vaccine Institute (IVI, Seoul)) and consultancies. She holds a PhD in health economics from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (LSHTM). Her PhD thesis was on economic evaluations of companion biomarkers for targeted therapies in cancer. She also holds an MSc in health policy, planning and financing from the London School of Economics (LSE) and LSHTM.

 

Kelly's research interests are primarily in the cost-effectiveness of interventions to improve public health across a range of health technologies, disease areas, and population groups. Her research areas include:

  • Economic evaluations.
  • Decision-analytic modelling.
  • Health technology assessment (HTA).
  • Survival analysis.
  • Care pathway analysis.
  • Value of information analysis.
  • Econometrics.
  • Systematic literature review and meta-analysis.
  • Budget impact analysis.
