Dr Mohammed Jawad is a PhD candidate at the Public Health Policy and Evaluation Unit, studying the indirect impact of armed conflict on death and disease globally.
Dr Jawad graduated with a medical degree from Imperial College London and holds a BSc in Management and Health Sciences from Imperial College Business School. He is an NIHR Academic Clinical Fellow and Specialty Registrar in Public Health Medicine. He also has a Masters in Public Health and is a Member of the Faculty of Public Health (MFPH).
Dr Jawad has published over 70 academic papers, mainly in tobacco control, and is interested in refugee health, armed conflict, and health systems. His doctoral studies are supported by the Medical Research Council.
