Summary

Dr Mohammed Jawad is a public health doctor and academic at the Public Health Policy and Evaluation Unit. In 2019, he completed his PhD entitled "The impact of armed conflict on morbidity and mortality globally." His doctoral studies were supported by the Medical Research Council.

Dr Jawad graduated with a medical degree from Imperial College London and holds a BSc in Management and Health Sciences from Imperial College Business School. He is an NIHR Academic Clinical Fellow and Specialty Registrar in Public Health Medicine. He also has a Masters in Public Health and is a Member of the Faculty of Public Health (MFPH).

Dr Jawad has published over 80 academic papers, and is interested in global health, refugee health, armed conflict, and tobacco control.
