Biochar to Mitigate Climate Change
My project will examine the process of biochar production in order to estimate the overall impact of its generation and use with respect to climate mitigation. The organic chemistry, inorganic contents, and physical properties of the biochars produced will be investigated to understand their stability, abilities as soil amendments, and their potential role in long-term carbon sequestration.
