Summary
I joined the department in January 2017, having previously worked for many years as a senior manager in postgraduate junior doctor training in London.
My role focuses on the development of the GP teaching faculty here in the Department of Primary Care and Public Health. I source and recruit new GP teachers and Practices to teach and host students. As our undergraduate student cohorts are continually expanding and the GP attachments that we offer become longer experiences this is a busy role where I am continually looking for new Practices to join the fold at Imperial.
My role additionally encompasses addressing the professional development of GP teachers. I schedule courses for our existing GP teaching community, including basic teaching skills for new teachers and additional skills for more experienced teachers.
I hold a certificate in Leadership and Management (ILM level 5) and Associate Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy
