Summary

I completed a BSc (Hons) Psychology & Sociology degree at the University of Bath in 1993, & then spent a few years working at Rampton Hospital where I co-facilitated various intervention programmes including Sex Offender & Arson treatment programmes. I also completed my MSc in Legal & Forensic Psychology (University of Leicester) during this time.

A return to London in 1998 began in the Forensic Psychiatry Research Unit of Queen Mary & Westfield College conducting a long-term follow-up study of patients admitted to medium secure units in England. Then followed a period as Research Officer with the Young Abuser’s Project carrying out research on young people who commit sexually harmful behaviour.

As a Forensic Research Psychologist my main research interests were sexual aggression, psychopathy, and juvenile delinquency. A long-time member of NOTA (The National Organisation for the Treatment of Abusers) I served as Chair of the Research Sub-Committee 2009-13.

I joined Imperial College in 2006, initially as a Researcher surveying Primary Mental Health Workers in CAMHS, & I'm currently the PA to the Head of the Division of Psychiatry and Admin secretary for a number of PIs in the Division. I try to keep my 'research' hand in where I can, the main focus currently is assisting publishing the results of a survey of school/college students on their experiences of cyberbullying.
