Summary
Neil Hoose is a graduate Civil Engineer with an MSc in Transport and a Ph.D. in the application of computer vision techniques to transport. He has a track record in leading transport related projects in both industry and academia, including director level appointments in consultancy and manufacturing.
He was an independent consultant specialising in addressing transport issues using intelligent transport systems from 1999-2021.During this time he provided input on a range of projects including motorway control and management, traffic control centres, connected vehicles and traffic data collection and management.
Neil is currently a Visiting Professor at the Centre for Transport Studies, Imperial College London. He teaches traffic engineering and intelligent transport systems on undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.
