Summary

Risk Management and Business Continuity

Nick joined the College in September 2008. Working with the Director Of Risk Management, with responsibility for the processes for strategic risk management and previously those for business continuity (which now come under Alastair Lee Head of Business Continuity), Nick runs regular training seminars and workshops and provides 121 support for those responsible for managing risk throughout the College.

In addition to this Nick is Project Director for the development of ‘Empirical’, an in-house Management System that facilitates communication and Intelligence sharing across the college.

His interests also include Whitewater Kayaking, Photography, Music and using ICT to produce hypermedia resources.

Nick graduated from City University in 1989 with a BSc(Hons) in Philosophy and Psychology and spent 18 years working in Intelligence and Risk before joining Imperial College.

Nick has completed the Supporting Learning and Teaching (SLTP) and Horizon Programmes at Imperial College.

In March to May 2011, Nick with two colleagues, Peter Wren and Bachir Taouti, presented a mixed media exhibition in the Blyth Gallery at Imperial College. Nick then engaged 9 colleagues to form the summer exhibition for 2013: Exposat 2013 - EXploring Perceptions Of Space And Time.
