Summary
Neil McIntyre graduated with a BEng in Civil Engineering from Edinburgh University in 1990. He then worked for seven years in the Scottish water industry before coming to Imperial where he did an MSc in environmental engineering and a PhD in water quality modelling. Neil worked as a Lecturer/Reader in hydrology from 2001-2013, including teaching water quality modelling, hydrometry, rainfall-runoff modelling, open channel flow, environmental engineering, water resources, computational analysis and hydroinformatics. In January 2013 he moved to the University of Queensland to work as Director of the Centre for Water in the Minerals Industry www.cwimi.uq.edu.au/. He currently co-supervises 3 Phd students at Imperial, and leads collaboration between Imperial and The University of Queensland on research into groundwater recharge, the changing water cycle and hydrologic ecosystems modelling.
