Overview
Research in glycobiology, focusing on using mass spectrometry for glycomics, proteomics and glycoproteomics.
Poh-Choo specialise in developing, improving and applying of mass spectrometric methodologies for the structural elucidation of biological molecules, especially of sugars (also known as glycans). They are essential components of all living things and play various roles in biology, and till date, they are known to have crucial tasks in cell-to-cell recognition. Knowledge of glycan structures is fundamental for the understanding and establishing roles that they play in health and disease.
