AB - BACKGROUND: A 43-year-old woman with a 2-hour history of chest pain presented with an anterior infarction and was referred for primary percutaneous coronary intervention. INVESTIGATIONS: Physical examination, electrocardiography, laboratory tests, coronary angiography, abdominal angiography, cardiac CT, histology, immunohistochemistry, intravascular ultrasound. DIAGNOSIS: ST-segment elevation anterior myocardial infarction. MANAGEMENT: Coronary angiography, antithrombotic therapy, statin, angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitor, thrombectomy, coronary artery bypass graft surgery.
