Petra Wark is a nutritional and chronic disease epidemiologist with an additional background in applied statistics as well as learning and teaching.
Petra has a strong interest in the use, development and characteristics of dietary and lifestyle assessment using web-based instruments, wearable devices and apps. She is not only interested in the methodological perspective and their efficacy and effectiveness, but also in their practical application in research, care and health promotion. In addition, she remains interested in nutritional epidemiology of chronic diseases, in which area she worked before moving to eHealth. Petra is also passionate about learning and teaching. She was a founding member and co-Course Director of the International Course in Nutritional Epidemiology , led several MSc and MPH modules in epidemiology, taught on the MBBS, and has been Course Organiser & Deputy Course Director of the MSc in Epidemiology.
