Summary

Pankaj Sharma is currently a Research Associate at Imperial College London. Previously, he worked as a Marie Curie Fellow at Cardiff University/UK Catalysis Hub (2021-2023). He has held various roles in academia and research, including Senior Lecturer in India and Research Professor and Senior Research Scientist in South Korea (2008-2020).

His research focuses on Energy, Environment, and Health, particularly on the production of carbon-free future energy carriers (such as H2O2, NH3, and H2) using natural resources like Sun, Air, Water, and Bio-waste. Additionally, he explores photoreduction/thermochemical conversion of CO2 to C2 products, photochemical biowaste valorization, integration of catalytic processes (utilizing photo-hetero-biocatalysts) for valuable chemical synthesis, development of photocatalysts for medical/cosmetic applications, and materials synthesis.
