Summary
I am an honorary research associate within the Molecular Epidemiology Group at the Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics. I hold a medical degree from Gadjah Mada University, Indonesia, and MSc and PhD in Molecular Epidemiology from Imperial. I was funded by the President's PhD scholarship to work with Professor Abbas Dehghan and Dr Marina Evangelou to investigate the role of microRNAs in complex disorders using molecular epidemiology approaches. I use extensive genetic, molecular, and clinical data in population-based cohorts, such as the Rotterdam Study and the UK Biobank. I am also a visiting researcher at the Department of Epidemiology, Erasmus Medical Center in Rotterdam, the Netherlands.
My research interest lies in the intersection between medicine, genetics, and epidemiology. I am keen on using genetics to improve our understanding of diseases and aid in finding effective treatment and diagnostic strategies
