Summary
Dr Radu Rautiu is currently Associate Head of Research Project Management (flexi-retired) within the Enterprise Division at Imperial College.
Radu has a PhD from Imperial College (1995) in Chemical & Environmental Engineering and post-doctoral experience (Department of Chemical Engineering and at TH Huxley School of Environment , Imperial College 1995-1998).
With a Diploma of Management Studies, he is a Chartered Fellow of the CMI (Chartered Management Institute, UK- 2012) and member of PMI (Project Management Institute)- UK chapter.
Dr Rautiu is responsible for identifying, bidding for and negotiating multi-partner projects, with particular reference to EU projects coordinated by Imperial College. Currently, Radu is co-PI for the long-term KIOS Centre of Excellence EU Teaming project with University of Cyprus.
Radu is currently an Ambassador for the Crowdhelix Network of over 450 Universities, Research Institutes, SMEs and innovative companies.
He has professional expertise in pollution control and minimisation, radioactive waste treatment, environmental technology, best industrial practice, water and waste water technology, novel materials, nano-technologies and advanced processes.
Born in Transylvania (Romania) and fluent in Romanian, French, also speaks Italian. Knight of the Romanian Order of Faithful Service (2004).
