Summary

I am a postdoctoral Research Associate in the Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics, where I also completed my PhD.  My PhD focussed on exposure to water disinfection by-products during pregnancy in the Born in Bradford birth cohort.  My academic background covers both biological and social disciplines, with an undergraduate degree in Human Sciences (St John’s College, Oxford) and an MSc in Epidemiology (Imperial College London).

Since completing my PhD I have worked on both the COSMOS and SCAMP cohort studies which are investigating potential effects of exposure to radio-frequency electromagnetic fields (from mobile phones and other wireless devices) on adult health and children’s cognition respectively.

I am also working on the Traffic Pollution and Health in London project, examining the relationship between traffic-related noise and air pollution and risk of adverse reproductive outcomes (e.g. low birth weight and pre-term delivery).

 Key research areas:

  • Cohort studies
  • Reproductive health
  • Health & Environment
