Summary

Becky is a Visiting Researcher at the Imperial College Centre for Energy Policy and Technology (ICEPT), and a Committee Specialist for the House of Commons Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy Committee.

Prior to joining the House of Commons Becky worked as a Research Associate at Imperial College, investigating economic, social and technical aspects of energy policy in the UK and abroad. Projects to which she has contributed include the EPSRC SUPERGEN Bioenergy Challenge Bioenergy Value Chains: Whole Systems Analysis and Optimisation; Renewable Jet Fuel Supply Chain Development and Flight Operations (RENJET) for EIT Climate-KIC; and a range of shorter studies for the UK Energy Research Centre – International Renewable Energy Agency (UKERC-IRENA) collaboration. She was also Chair of the SUPERGEN Bioenergy Hub SHARE Network for early career bioenergy researchers over 2016-17.

Becky is particularly interested in the role of decentralised renewable technologies for developing countries.  She has previously worked in Mali and Senegal, and was formerly a project manager and consultant for community-scale renewable energy installations in the UK.

Becky has an MSc in Environmental Technology (specialising in Energy Policy) from Imperial College London.
