Summary
I am Visiting Researcher at the MRC Centre for Global Infectious Disease Analysis having previously worked as a Research Assistant on malaria with Dr. Thomas Churcher and on COVID-19 with Dr. Katharina Hauck.
My work on malaria focusses on applying machine learning algorithms to spectral data collected using near infra-red spectroscopy to predict epidemiologically important characteristics of laboratory-reared and wild mosquitoes, such as infection status, age and species.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, I co-led the hospital capacity workstream which has looked at methods to prevent health systems being overwhelmed.
I currently hold a National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) PhD scholarship to study the epidemiological modelling and analysis of COVID-19, MERS and other high consequence infectious diseases under the supervision of Professor Christl Donnelly. I am based in the Department of Statistics at the University of Oxford and I am member of the Health Protection Research Unit in Emerging and Zoonotic Infections.
I have an undergraduate degree in Mathematics, Operational Research, Statistics and Economics from the University of Warwick with intercalated year at Monash University and a Master's degree in Statistics from Imperial College London.
