Research Interest
My research interests are in public mental health, multiple morbidity, health inequalities and health systems, especially primary care. I lead Imperial's public mental health work as part of the national NIHR School of Public Health Research. I am the NIHR's Clinical Research Network's speciality lead for health services research and the population health lead for the NIHR's Applied Research Collaboration in North West London. In collaboration with Open University of Mauritius I developed a distance learning Masters in Public Health.
Mon Prothom|Mind First
The overall goal of Mon Prothom | Mind First partnership is to advance the knowledge base to strengthen mental health care and public mental health in Bangladesh.
Established in 2020, the UK-Bangladesh research and global health partnership involves the following institutions and organisations: iccdr,b, Innovation for Wellbeing Foundation, James P Grant School Public Health, BRAC, Lincoln University, East London Foundation NHS Trust and Chatham House.
